Sugar Bear Rascal Cat

We have to keep accurate records of each and every animal we take in. Most Organizations give them a number like d18623m75416b, but we ain't most organizations. We give the cat a name, like Sugar. Then we name the litter if there is one, for example if one or more of the kittens looks like a little bear, we might name them the "bear" litter. And then there is the mothers name. That comes next because we usually know who the mother is. WE do not always know the papa cat. Sugar Bear's mother is Pretty Rascal, We use Rascal as the mother's name because it helps us connect her with her papa. Dirty Rascal was Pretty Rascal's father. We know who Sugar Bear Rascal's father was. His name was Sad Cat. So Sugar Bear is Sugar Bear Rascal Cat, and we can trace his lineage all the way back to a small Black female with heavy Siamese ancestry. Three fifths of her babies are born solid white, a Siamese trait due to them being born hot. As they cool down, they get darker. Usually the ears and feet get black first, then the tail and face. Sugar Bear is almost solid black now, like his grandmother, his uncle Black Rascal, and his aunt Black Thing.

But we can count back 15 years of Black Mama Kitty Kat's children. The Ghosts where her first litter that lived past weening, with a tuxedo Tom named Homer Homeless who was NOT feral. Then came the Things. Then came the bandits. That was when we adopted this colony. We didn't know what we were doing and we didn't have any money so we were just feeding them. Then came the Rascals, and nine months later, came Pretty Rascals one kitten, Sugar Bear Rascal Cat. It was his beling left on the hood of our car that caused us to want to do a better job. We founded the Feed a Kitty Foundation, raised some money, and started our spay and neutering efforts. We have come a long way since then. But read about the Sugar Bear.
